FAQs
Do you ship internationally? Not at this time. USPS has strict hazmat regulations — as of July 12, 2026, shippers face significant fines for non-compliance. We'll work toward international shipping eventually, but we're not there yet. Apologies! If you have experience with legal and economical international hazmat shipping, we're all ears.
What is your shipping method? USPS Ground Advantage. Nail polish is flammable and cannot be transported by air. We ship in heavy-duty white boxes to ensure hazmat compliance and to protect your order from any crushing during transit.
How do you package my order? All shipping materials are nontoxic, pet-friendly, and recyclable — we love our fur babies! Each polish is individually bubble wrapped and placed in an organza bag with a sprinkle of confetti. You'll also receive a personalized handwritten thank-you note from Jenna and a business card. Your polishes are nestled in nontoxic crinkle paper shreds for cushioning, and your order arrives ready to gift — to yourself or someone else. If you'd prefer tissue paper instead of crinkle paper, or no confetti in your organza bag, just drop a note with your order or email holla@lacquistry.com with your order number.
Why isn't my tracking updating? This is an ongoing issue with our carriers and post office. Our mail carriers often don't scan packages at pickup, and the post office doesn't consistently scan packages in — which is why tracking can appear stalled. It's not uncommon for a tracking number to show "pre-transit" for days and then suddenly show as delivered. We've tried to resolve this without success. We appreciate your patience.
What are your nail polish base ingredients? All Lacquistry products are 10-free, vegan, and cruelty-free. Lacquer base ingredients: Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Isobutyl Acetate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Adipic Acid / Neopentyl Glycol / Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Silica, Styrene / Acrylates Copolymer, N-Butyl Alcohol, Benzophenone-1, D&C Violet #2.
What are Lacquistry's causes & commitments? So glad you asked! Lacquistry is a safe space for all. Click here for the causes and charities we support.
What are your turnaround times? We ship every business day and get orders out as quickly as possible. Typical processing time is 3–5 business days. During restocks, new launches, or sales, processing may take 5–7 business days. Black Friday orders typically take 7–10 business days.
I need to cancel my order. No problem! Orders can be cancelled as long as they haven't shipped yet. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. Email us at holla@lacquistry.com and we'll take care of it.
What is your return/refund policy? Nail polish is supposed to make you happy! If you're not satisfied with a product, we'll replace or refund it. We generally don't accept physical returns due to the sanitary nature of cosmetic items. Replacements and refunds are determined on a case-by-case basis. If an item is broken, please send a picture within 3 days of receipt for a replacement. Items will not be replaced without a photo.
Where do you post shop updates and restock announcements? Daily on Instagram @lacquistrynailpolish and Facebook @lacquistrynailpolish, and through our email list.
Do you restock sold-out items? Yes! Lacquistry is a no-FOMO brand. We restock sold-out colors as regularly as possible — unless a color is specifically announced as discontinued, it will make a comeback. Restock announcements go out on social media and via email.
Is Lacquistry.com accessible for those with vision challenges? Yes, as much as possible! We strive to include alt text on every photo and ensure the site is navigable by keyboard. There's always room to improve, and we want to learn — if you have suggestions or spot something we missed, please let us know!
Who makes your polishes? Me — Jenna Herder! I create, formulate, mix, pour, label, and pack everything by hand in my nail polish studio in Tucson, AZ.
What is your stance on AI? From Jenna: "I am deeply opposed to AI in creative spaces. There is no place for it in the indie polish industry. It takes jobs and income away from fellow creatives and is out of touch with the values of the indie polish community. All product images, logos, copy, concepts, communications, and creations are made by Jenna, a real human. You will never interact with an AI chatbot here — it's always me."
How many people work for Lacquistry? Jenna is full-time. We just hired Jasmine (woo-hoo!) as a one-day-a-week helper for miscellaneous shop duties such as bottle labeling, adding mixing balls, shipping assistance, glitter sorting, etc.
